About AYF Fellowship Japan 2024

The Awaji Fellowship 2024 is awarded in collaboration with the Awaji Youth Federation. Young applicants between the ages of 24 and 35 are eligible to apply for the Fellowship. The Fellowship program is for 9 months only and applicants can join a work program in Awaji Island. Those who have completed a bachelor’s and master’s degree are eligible to apply for the Awaji Youth Federation Fellowship program.

Awaji Youth Fellowship: Benefits

• Monthly Salary (Base salary + Overtime): JPY 197,000
• Government Taxes, Pensions, and Insurance fees will be deducted.
• Japanese class fees will be deducted.
• Accommodation & Utilities included

Awaji Youth Federation Fellowship: Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria to be fulfilled to apply for the AYF Fellowship are discussed below-

• The age of the student should be between 24 to 35 years to apply.
• The student should be a graduate with a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
• Flexible, perseverance and resilience
• The ability and drive to translate ideas into concrete action.
• English ability of TOEIC 800 or equivalent for non-native speakers. (Fluent both in speaking and writing)
• Japanese language skill （JLPT N1-N3）preferable
• Commitment to solving society’s problems and contributing to our projects.
• Core values of hard work, discipline, and care for others
• Membership and track record of activity in the AYF Global Community are preferable.

Fellowship Activities

• 5 days a week of working & learning
• 10 days of paid leave available six months into the Fellowship

Accommodation

• Individual room in either Japanese or Western style
• Utility costs such as electricity and Wi-Fi are included.

Meals (Working Days only)

• Although Fellows are responsible for their food, Pasona can offer discounted meals. We cannot guarantee these meals fit all dietary restrictions.
