Tata Innovation Fellowship 2024

The Department of Biotechnology, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Government of India have launched a prestigious fellowship. The Tata Innovation Fellowship 2024 will specifically target Ph.D. holders with an educational track record who have contributed to finding solutions to important problems in healthcare, agriculture, the environment, and other related areas of life sciences and biotechnology. The Tata Innovation Fellowship program will be open for three years. Out of which, the applicant will get a benefit of Rs. 25 thousand per month, and the candidates will get an annual contingency grant of Rs. 6 lakh rupees.

Tata Innovation Fellowship Eligibility

The eligibility criteria set by the scheme authorities for applying for the Tata Innovation Fellowship are discussed below.-

• Only residents of India can apply.
• Applicants should have approximately 5 years of work experience.
• The age of the student should be below 55 years.
• The applicant should possess a PhD degree in Life Sciences, Agriculture, or Veterinary Science or a Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, Engineering, or an equivalent degree in Biotechnology/ related areas. The applicant must have outstanding contributions and publications in the specific area.
• A student should be involved in development and research.
• Applicants must ensure that they are not receiving any grant under any other scheme.
• The student should hold a regular position in any university institute or institution.

Tata Innovation Fellowship Program Application Procedure

• To apply for the Tata Innovation Fellowship, candidates should first visit the website of the Department of Biotechnology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India.
• From the portal’s home page, navigate to the news and announcements section. 
• Search the application for the Tata Innovation Fellowship announcement.
• To open the application form, click the “apply here” link. 
• Begin filling out the details in the application and complete it. 
• Please submit the completed application form and keep a hard copy of it.
