The Department of Social Justice and Special Assistant, the apex body of the Maharashtra Government, jointly launched the Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship Scheme. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to economically backward classes (EBC) and economically weaker sections (EWS) enrolled in a diploma/ Degree / Postgraduate Technical and Professional course. Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Below are the general eligibility criteria for this scholarship:

• The applicant must be a national of India.
• The candidate must be a resident of the state of Maharashtra.
• Deemed Universities and Private Universities do not apply.
• Applicant must be a “Bonaficed Student of the Institute” and be enrolled in the Professional and Technical Courses (Diploma/Graduate/Post Graduate) mentioned in GR.
• Only two family children can avail of the scheme during the current academic year.
• Applicants must obtain admission through the Centralized Admission Process (CAP).
• Applicant must not have received any other scholarship/scholarship.
• Minimum 50% attendance in the previous semester (exception for incoming first-year students in the first semester).
• The total annual income of the family/parents should not exceed Rs. 8 lakhs.
• The candidate’s gap should not exceed 2 or 2 years for the course duration.

• Application Re-apply has been extended for A.Y. 23-24 till 31st Mar 2025.

• You must choose the “New Applicant Registration” option.
• On your screen, the registration page will appear.

• The candidate should subsequently finish the Aadhar authentication process using OTP or biometrics.
• Applicants for OTP authentication will receive an OTP to their registered mobile number.
