Aikyashree Scholarship Eligibility Criteria 

The eligibility criteria for applying for the scholarship are divided into three categories. Pre-matric, post-matric, merit-cum-means, etc. Some information about the eligibility criteria is discussed below.

Pre-matric

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• The student must be a person from a minority community.
• At least 50 percent marks must be obtained in the final examination
• Must study in a school administered by the State Board or Central Board.
• The applicant’s annual income should be Rs. 2 lakh or less.
• Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal are not eligible for a pre-matric scholarship.

Post-matric

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• The student must be a person from a minority community.
• At least 50 percent marks must be obtained in the final examination
• Should be studying in any recognized Education Board / Council / University / Institution of State / Central Govt.
• Applicants can apply for this scholarship from XI class (XI) to post-graduation (PG) level below.
• The applicant’s annual income should be Rs. 2 lakh or less.
• Students studying in institutes outside West Bengal are not eligible for a Post-Matric Scholarship.

Merit-cum-means

• The applicant must be a permanent resident of West Bengal.
• Students must be enrolled in Vocational/Technical courses.
• Applicant should have obtained at least 50% marks in Higher Secondary/Graduate/Post Graduate examination.
• The annual family income of the students should be Rs. 2.5 lakh rupees or less.
• As per the new notification issued by the West Bengal Minorities Finance and Development Corporation, students who are residents of West Bengal but studying in institutions located outside West Bengal are also eligible to apply.

Aikyashree Scholarship 2024 Application Process [STEP-BY-STEP]

Follow the simple two steps below to apply for this scholarship:-

Online Registration Process:-

• STEP 1:- To apply for the Aikyashree Scholarship, visit the official WBMDFC website at https://wbmdfcscholarship.in/. 

• STEP 2:- Select “STUDENT’S REGISTRATION” from the options for first-time applicants.

• STEP 3:- After selecting the district, students must enter all their identity information, including their name, guardian’s name, date of birth, Aadhar number, mobile number, bank account number with email address, and so on.
• STEP 4:- Click the “Submit and Proceed” button once the form is completed.

• STEP 5:- Another new form will be available this time, requiring students to enter information about their educational qualifications.
• STEP 6:- Once the form is finished, click the “Submit and Proceed” button again. This time, the names of the students eligible for this scholarship will be entered into the portal.

Online Application Process:-

• After the registration, students will be given a User ID and Password, which are sent to their registered Email ID or Mobile Number.
• To apply for the Scholarship, revisit the portal and select the “STUDENT’S LOGIN” option.

• Log in to the Portal with the User ID and Password issued.
• Here, you must give some essential information such as academic credentials and bank account information.
• If you need to change your password, you can now; otherwise, click the submit button to go to the following menu.
• Click the “Preview Tap” button to double-check the completed form.
• After validating the form, click the “Final Submit Tab” button.
• This time, the application for the Scholarship will be finished. Each student should print one copy of this application form for future reference.

Renewal Procedure Under Aikyashree Scholarship

• To renew the scholarship, first visit the Scholarship Portal. (https://wbmdfcscholarship.in/ )
• From the homepage, select the “RENEWAL APPLICATION” option.

• Following that, students must pick their district, supply the Application ID Number and DOB received with the first application, and provide a Captcha Code.
• An OTP will be given to the student’s registered mobile number; this OTP must be provided on the portal.
• Now, click on the “login” button.
• An application form will be sent to renew the Aikyashree Scholarship.
• This form should be completed by entering the necessary information.
• After that, the documents listed on the Application Form should be uploaded to the Portal.
• After completing the form, click the “submit” button.

How To Check Aikyashree Scholarship Status 2024?

• Visit the official Aikyashree Scholarship website.
• Enter a captcha code with your “Application ID” and “Password.”
• Open the Dashboard and select the “Track Application” option.
• On the following page, you will check the status of your application.
