Yashasvi Scholarship Scheme: Eligibility Criteria


  • The candidate should be admitted to the first year of a degree or diploma course at any AICTE-approved institution for the respective year.

Number Of Scholarship

  • A total of 5,000 scholarships (2,500 for degree courses and 2,500 for diploma courses)
  • State/Union Territory-wise distribution of 5,000 scholarships (2,500 for degree courses and 2,500 for diploma courses)

MODE OF PAYMENT:

  • After selection, the awardee will receive a scholarship through DBT mode annually.

Selection Criteria


Degree Level Students:

  1. The candidate selection will be based solely on the merit of qualifying qualification (12th grade) to pursue the Technical Degree Core branch of Engineering from any of the AICTE-approved institutions.
  2. State/UT-wise merit list will be prepared as per the number of scholarships allotted in point number 3.0 above.

Diploma Level Students:

  1. The candidate selection will be based solely on the merit of qualifying qualification (10th grade) to pursue the technical Diploma core branch of engineering from any of the AICTE-approved institutions.
  2. State/UT-wise merit list will be prepared as per the number of scholarships allotted in point number 3.0 above.

Application Process Under AICTE Yashasvi Scholarship


  1. The candidate fulfilling the eligibility conditions must apply online on the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) after initiating the application process and notice to be published on the AICTE website.
  2. The host institution where the candidate is studying is required to verify the online application.
  3. The Department of Technical Education (DTE) of the respective State/ UT will verify these applications as a second level of scrutiny.

Renewal Process

  • The scholarship will be renewed for the next year of study on receipt of renewal through the National Scholarship Portal (NSP) by submitting a passing certificate/ mark sheet along with a letter from the Head of the Institution on the online portal.
  • Students failing to get promoted to the next class/ level would forfeit the scholarship.

METHODS OF RESOLVING TIES


Degree Level Students:

  • Percentage of Marks in 12th Examination: If the case qualifying examination percentile does not break ties, then a higher percentage of marks in the 12th examination will be ranked higher.
  • Age: In case the 12th examination percentile does not break ties, then the candidate of older age will be ranked higher.

Diploma Level Students:

  • Percentage of Marks in the 10th Examination: In case qualifying examination percentile does not break ties, then a higher percentage of marks in the 12th examination will be ranked higher.
  • Age: In case the 10th examination percentile does not break ties, then the candidate of older age will be ranked higher.
