Object Of Tamil Nadu ADW Scholarship
The main objective of the TN ADW Scholarship 2024 is to provide quality education to all deserving minority students in the state of Tamil Nadu. Those who study can fulfill all their dreams for the future. Adi Dravidar Welfare Scholarship Amount
School Students
- Female students of SC/ST categories and students of classes III to V will be given INR 500 annually.
- Adi Dravida Tribal Welfare will grant INR 1,000 to ST/SC girls.
- Female 7th and 8th grade students will receive an annual grant of INR 1,500.
- Children engaged in unhealthy occupations and studying in class 10 will receive INR 1,850 through ADW scholarship.
- The government will bear educational expenses, special fees, application fees, registration and examination fees.
- Welfare will select 1,000 boys and 1,000 girls who have passed the XII board examination and grant INR 3,000 annually for five years.
- Day students studying in classes IX to X will be given INR 2250 for their educational expenses.
- Hostel students studying in classes IX to X will be given INR 4,500 towards their educational expenses.
Higher Secondary Level
- Students in grades I to XII in public schools will receive free textbooks.
- Welfare provides free guides and question banks for students appearing for class 10 and 12 board exams.
- Students studying in ADW schools and students living in ADW hostels will receive four sets of uniforms free of charge.
- Students appearing in the 10th and 12th exams will receive special classes.
- All children from the Christian community who have studied in grades XI and XII will be given bicycles.
College Students
- The government grants INR 7,500 to students pursuing undergraduate and polytechnic courses.
- Students pursuing postgraduate and professional courses will receive INR 8,000 per annum.
- The state government also offers an ADW scholarship to students of self-financing universities.
- Law graduates will get INR 50,000 to start their practice.

ADW Scholarship Tamil Nadu Eligibility Criteria
Students must first meet the eligibility criteria before starting the application process, which we have discussed below.
- Applicants must be permanent residents of Tamil Nadu for at least five years.
- Students must belong to the SC/ST Muslim minority and Christian community.
- The candidate must have studied from class 1 to Ph.D. degree level.
- The student’s annual family income should be less than 2 lakh rupees.
- For candidates applying for ADW Hostel, the distance between the school/college and their residence must be more than five kilometers. However, this condition does not apply to girls.
- For female candidates, the distance of residence from the school/university must be 5 km.
- Students wishing to study in specialized schools must first pass the aptitude test.
- Students should have studied in Adi Dravida Kalyan, GTR, government or government-aided schools.
- Students wishing to study 11th and 12th standards in reputed schools through ADW scholarship should ensure their family income does not exceed INR 1,00,000 annually.
