Good news for students studying Sanskrit in Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a Rs. 5.86 crore Sanskrit scholarship scheme for Sanskrit students across the state to make the ancient language accessible to all. Under the initiative launched at Satlananda Sanskrit University in Varanasi, 69,195 Sanskrit students have received scholarships, and the funds have been transferred directly to the students’ bank accounts.

Emphasizing Sanskrit’s potential, the Chief Minister described it as a language of scientific and technical application rather than ‘Deva-Bani’ (divine language). CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized opening bank accounts for all students to transfer funds safely and efficiently to their accounts through the UP Sanskrit Scholarship.
